About Me
I am Clark Weng. Currently a grade 11 student at Pickering College. I didn’t fall in love with film the way people usually describe it. There was no moment of pure fascination, no simple sense of escape. What I remember instead is a quiet disturbance. I was around ten when I watched Nights of Cabiria. I didn’t fully understand it. But something stayed, it's the feeling that what I had just seen was doing more than telling one. Since then, cinema has never been just entertainment to me. It is a system of images, a structure of emotions, a language that often hides more than it reveals.
DebunkingPop comes from that impulse of questioning what they construct, what they conceal, and why they move us the way they do. I’m interested in films that linger, disturb, or resist clarity. But more importantly, I’m interested in how meaning is built through form, rhythm, absence, and contradiction.
This is not a space for passive watching. It’s a space for looking again. And sometimes, for unlearning what we thought we saw.
